MDS Assessments and related features

Clinical System Setup Understand what options are available and required for system setup and how they affect data entry and outcomes.
MDS Entry Learn how to open an MDS assessment, and choose the appropriate type of assessment for a scenario.
MDS Properties Learn how to complete the MDS process once questions are answered. This will include determining and answering RAPs, locking assessments, and reviewing for significant changes.
MDS Submissions Learn new options for submitting MDS and understand how to create a file to send to the state database. This will cover all options under the Assess » Electronic MDS Submissions.
MDS Reports Brief review of reporting capabilities related to the MDS.  We will be discussing the reports under Assess > MDS Forms and Reports.

Care Plan Entry Learn how to enter a new care plan for a resident, how to edit existing care plans, and how to utilize the care plan library when creating a care plan for a resident.
Care Plan Library Learn how to maintain the care plan library. We will be discussing the Model option from a resident's Care Plan, as well as the Care Plan menu option for Enter/Edit Care Plan Library.
Care Plan Reports Brief review of reporting capabilities related to Care Plans.
Physician Order Entry Learn how to create and print physician orders (including MARs, TARs, telephone orders, etc.
Focus Assessments Learn how to enter new focus assessments. Also brief review of the reporting capabilities for focus assessments.

Vital Statistics Learn how to enter and report from residents vital statistics data.
Progress/24 Hour Notes Learn what setup is needed for these functions as well as how to enter and print notes.
Incident Information Learn how to set up Incident Codes. Also learn how to enter incident information, update and generate reports.
Health Risk Management Learn how to enter and maintain health risk information on your residents, employees and/or volunteers.

Admission & Resident Information The Admissions & Resident Information area of ULTRACare serves as the library for resident data to be used by other modules. We will discuss how to make best use of your user-defined codes, maintain resident information, including admissions, discharges, census and room locations, and how this impacts other modules. We'll also cover the many reporting features.

Accounts Receivable & Billing

A/R & Billing The AR/Billing module is census driven and date sensitive. We'll be discussing proper census maintenance and reporting. Topics also include all room & board/census driven billing procedures, ancillary charge entry, cash receipts, and adjustments. We will also review key AR reporting and analysis features.

AR Month End, Collections, Reconciliation and Resident Funds

Thursday, September 11, 2008 (9:00 am - 4:30 pm)

AR Month End This session will cover recommended month end procedures. you will be able to create your own month end procedures based on the guidelines learned in this session
Collections This session will cover the different reports and modules used to maintain your collection efforts. Learn how to set up credits codes specific to your facility and set up extract for the different credit codes to do a mail merge into your Microsoft Word documents.
Reconciliation Here we will review the various reconciliations recommended to assure a clean month end in Accounts Receivable.
Resident Funds Learn how to enter deposits, withdrawals, calculate interest in Resident Funds. Learn how to maintain more than one Resident Fund account for each resident if needed.
