PurchasePoint.MDIPurchasePoint.MDI is a complete inventory control program, designed to efficiently track supplies and services using electronic bar code technology to help long-term care facilities control increasing supply costs. PurchasePoint.MDI also captures charges for items used or services performed (such as physical therapy, activities, barber/beauty, etc) for a specific resident to ensure proper billing and reduce lost charges. Integrated Ancillary Charge TrackingPurchasePoint.MDI is fully integrated with On-Line Advantage Accounts Receivable software to seamlessly capture charges and accurately post them to the proper resident account for billing. This eliminates the need to enter ancillary charges by hand and reduces billing errors. Residents, ancillary codes and billing codes entered in Accounts Receivable are automatically available to add to your inventory system. Once ancillary charges are scanned into PurchasePoint.MDI, they are automatically available to post to Accounts Receivable. Easy-To-Use Inventory TrackingPurchasePoint.MDI provides the capability to accurately and efficiently track supply inventories in multiple locations, transfer items between locations, and maintain appropriate stock levels which helps reduce waste and the risk of theft. Each ancillary item and service, along with staff members and residents in the facility, are assigned a unique bar code that is scanned when the service is performed or the item is dispensed. The system then reduces the item from inventory and charges it to the appropriate resident, automatically recording the identity of the staff member involved. Along with the bar code, each item is assigned a user-defined stock number and stock description that can be associated with a user-defined primary vendor code. After items/services are scanned and posted in the hand-held collection device, the data is quickly and easily down-loaded into PurchasePoint.MDI to update inventories and post ancillary charges. Purchase Order SystemPurchasePoint.MDI includes a built-in purchase order system, with user-defined PO numbers, that provides the capability to suggest re-order quantities based on user-defined minimum/ maximum stocking levels. Items can be ordered simply by generating POs to be printed and/or e-mailed. This program also provides the flexibility to receive goods from a single PO into multiple locations, receive partial shipments, and receive products in quantities as sold by the vendor. The system then automatically calculates dispense units to update inventories accordingly. Other Key Features
