Innovative Software

Since 1982, MDI Technologies has set the standard for the development of management software for the Long-Term Care industry.  We were the first to provide a Windows-based application, On-Line Advantage, to meet the growing need for data management in Long-Term Care. MDI continued this leadership by being the first to offer the ability to manage clinical and accounting data over the Internet with our MDIConnect product.

All MDI On-Line Advantage software is written in Microsoft Access.  This ensures a smooth transfer of data files into Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, making data analysis, report generation and presentation development fast and easy.

Full Integration

All On-Line Advantage clinical, accounting and administrative systems feature a single data-entry format.  This means that data entered into one area of the program is accessible to other areas, wherever it is needed.  Single entry saves valuable staff time, reduces transcription errors and ensures accurate, up-to-date information for all departments.

The On-Line Advantage Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll programs integrate with our General Ledger.  This allows cash transactions to be posted to the General Ledger at the time the transaction is entered, ensuring up-to-the-minute cash balances and reports.

Integration also helps in meeting regulatory requirements, such as PPS and HIPAA.Information entered by the clinical staff (i.e. diagnoses, MDS information, etc.) is automatically available in Accounts Receivable, ensuring consistency of data for accurate and efficient billing, as well as regulatory compliance.
