e-Charting

MDI's e-Charting software is designed for use with MDI's Clinical Care Solutions module. With a wireless network and Tablet PCs, e-Charting allows your clinical staff to spend less time on cumbersome paperwork and more time caring for residents.

Real Time Documentation "On The Fly"

e-Charting utilizes state-of-the-art wireless technology to allow your clinical staff to document at the resident's bedside. Unlike other applications, the network connection remains intact to allow real-time documentation, so there is no need to "synch" the database back at the workstation. The Tablet PC can take the place of a traditional workstation, allowing you to take advantage of all that MDI software has to offer. Handheld devices (PDAs) may also be used by frontline personnel to collect data at the point of care. In lieu of a wireless network, e-Charting can also be used in a traditional connected LAN environment with handheld synchronized devices or kiosks.

Electronic MAR

Document medications as you dispense them with e-Charting's electronic MAR. Scheduled medications are highlighted for easy identification. With a touch of a button, each medication is recorded on the resident's MAR with the administering clinician's initials. As PRN medications are dispensed, the system prompts for documentation to support the medication given. The MAR summary screen shows a variety of daily statistics including up-to-the-minute counts of medications dispensed, number of medications pending, medications dispensed late, and more. Detailed information can be accessed and sorted for monitoring and quality assurance purposes. A variety of summary and detail reports or individual MAR sheets can be displayed or printed.

Bedside Assessments

With e-Charting, you can complete the MDS, AIMS, Braden, Fall Risk and many other User-Defined Assessments electronically at the resident's bedside. This eliminates the need to transcribe the information, increasing accuracy and efficiency.

Full Integration

Like all On-Line Advantage modules, e-Charting is fully-integrated. This means that information recorded through e-Charting is immediately available in the Clinical Care Solutions module. Responses from User-Defined Assessments can be cross-walked to the MDS for consistent documentation. RUGS calculations from the MDS are available in the Accounts Receivable module for accurate and timely billing.
