ULTRACare
Version 14 Update News
ULTRACare 14.9
was released and published Friday, October 20, 2006 at our Secure
Web Site. This is a significant step in the continued development
of ULTRACare to meet the needs of the senior living industry. Since
the highly successful Directions User Group Conference, we have
completed over 50 enhancements to ULTRACare - all of which are included
in this monthly update at NO additional cost.
Before
installing the update, please read and digest the release notes
related to the October 20th update at https://support.monetteinc.com/version14/ULTRACare%202006%20-%20Version%2014%20-%20Changes%20since%20General%20Release.pdf

Important
Items of Note about ULTRACare Version 14.9
-
Admissions
module: The Resident Reporting menu option has been removed.
Reports that pertain to individual resident demographic menu
options are now grouped with the menu option where you enter
or maintain the same information (i.e. the Contacts Report is
now grouped under the same menu option as Enter/Edit Contacts
under the Contacts Info). All reports that are not specific
to one maintenance menu option (i.e. Add/Change Report, Birthday
Listing, Data Base Query, Length of Stay, etc) were moved to
the Reporting, Resident Demographic Reporting Menu. Forms printing
options (Admission Document Set, Chart Labels and Multiple Face
Sheets) were moved to the Reporting, Resident Forms Menu. This
is a high priority item that we recommend all users be aware
of as you begin to use this update. It only affects the
location of the menu option, not how reports function.
-
Communicable
Disease Tracking module: The name of this module has been changed
to Health/Risk Management. The Employee/Visitor Incident option
has been moved from the Utility menu to the Entry menu in this
module.
-
AR/Billing
module: If the transaction date entered by the user does not
equal the Service Begin date, the adjustment journal will be
used instead of the regular room and board or ancillary journal
to note that this transaction is a prior period change.
-
AR/Billing
module: Process Insurance - Changes have been made to allow
the user to generate the MEDICARE BENEFITS EXHAUSTED CLAIM or
the MEDICARE NO PAYMENT CLAIM effective 10-01-2006.
- MEDICARE BENEFITS EXHAUSTED CLAIM - The resident must be in
a resident type set to payor code 11 (Medicare over 100 to Medicaid)
or 12 (Medicare over 100 to Private). Claims will be generated
during a MEDICARE run. The claim will have a bill type of 212,
213, etc. The days will be reported under covered days.
- MEDICARE NO PAYMENT CLAIM - The resident can be in any resident
type. Claims will be generated during an INDIVIDUAL, MEDICARE
run. The user must select MEDICARE NO PAYMENT CLAIM during the
individual entry process. The claim will have a bill type of
210. The days will be reported under non-covered days.
-
AR/Billing
module: Process Insurance - This has been updated to produce
the new UB04 form. Crystal and preprinted versions of this form
are available. The form prints all the fields at this time.
Since this is a new form and the box numbers have changed from
the old UB92 form, we will be adding insurance filing controls
as they are needed. To enable printing the UB04, you must first
set up the new check box on the insurance code for printing
the UB04 or UB92 form. The default is the UB92 form. There are
additional fields for the UB04; all of these fields have not
yet been added to the claim edit process, but will be in the
near future. As the new form allows for more condition and span
codes, we will add these additional codes to the Enter/Edit
of Part B/Hospital Stay info for the resident's insurance at
a later time.
