The upcoming MDS 3.0 regulatory requirement is one of the most significant changes that our industry will ever experience. You can be assured that ALL MDI Achieve clients will have an available solution with this change by the October 1, 2009 implementation date. No matter which MDI Achieve product you use, you will have the full support of all MDI Achieve employees. Development planning is already occurring to ensure MDS 3.0 functionality is available for all of our customers who use Matrix, On-Line Advantage, PathLinks, QuickCare, ULTRACare, GENECARE, and DataCare. Several MDI Achieve employees have been involved in MDS 3.0 discussions with CMS in order to ensure that this transition is as smooth as possible. Please note that MDI Achieve understands the impact of this change to all of our customers and how it affects your overall business processes. Most facilities do an outstanding job of developing Care Plans with Problems, Goals and Interventions. And then, once the Care Plan is developed by the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT), it is filed in the chart, or another “easily accessible” file. However, the gap between initiating the Care Plan, implementing the Interventions and then evaluating the Care Plan’s effectiveness by the IDT is a very big gap, indeed. Click here to read more...
