ANSI
Override Now Available
Recently,
intermediary IDs have been changing faster than ever, largely due
to the MAC contract awards. In response, the QuickCare development
team has completed product enhancements that allow users to set
up Federal intermediary specific ANSI 837I header values.
There
is a new tab in Payor Setup called ANSI Overrides Setup. On this
tab, users can specify exactly what should be entered in each header
loop and segment, as well as an 835 Application Sender's Code, which
is used for the automatic posting of RAs.
Users
can also specify the file name for the Electronic Batch File. Each
837I location displays the default value, and if needed, the user
can specify an override.
This
functionality is available in QuickCare V3.5 for all Federal intermediaries
to accommodate changes to the intermediary Receiver IDs and Sender
IDs that occur with each new MAC.
QuickCare
V3.5 is scheduled for release in late June 2008. For suggestions
or questions about this functionality, please email us at billing@quickcare.com
or support@quickcare.com.

New
Resident PDP Screen
A
new Resident Prescription Drug Plan screen has been added to QuickCare
to allow users to retain a history of resident prescription drug
plans, as well as start and end dates for each plan. (This information
is no longer available on the resident Demographics screen.) The
new screen also contains the Resident PDP Number and PDP Carrier
fields. If a resident had a PDP previously assigned on the Demographics
screen, it will now appear on the Resident PDP screen. The prescription
drug plan was initially added to QuickCare on 01/01/2007. So, if
the resident was admitted to your facility on or before that date,
01/01/2007 will be the start date of the PDP. If the resident was
admitted after 01/01/2007, the start date will be the date they
were admitted to the facility.
