About UsWho We Are & What We DoMDI has been in the long-term care software industry since nursing homes first started using computers for clinical and accounting applications. We have been instrumental in the evolution of technology standards for Long-Term Care by continuously upgrading our products with the latest enhancements to meet the needs of clients more effectively and efficiently. In addition to our innovative software, our superior client support is a cornerstone of our business. MDI personnel are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to assist our clients when they need us. The philosophy of MDI is to build long-term relationships with our clients. As industry requirements continue to change, we pledge to make the transitions with the most productive software available. We will continue to provide state-of-the-art technology and support services to the Long-Term Care industry. HistoryMDI was established in 1982 with the creation of a software package designed specifically to meet the unique data management requirements of Long-Term Care facilities. Since our inception, Long-Term Care software has been our only business. MDI remains focused on and committed to the ever-changing complexities of this industry. In 1985, our early applications for the CP/M operating system were transitioned to the DOS platform. And in 1995, MDI was on the leading edge of technology when we introduced On-Line Advantage, the first fully integrated Windows-based product in the Long-Term Care industry. This innovative product ties our specialized clinical and accounting programs into interactive, data-sharing software applications. MDI utilizes Microsoft Access 2000 as the programming language of our On-Line Advantage Software. As a Microsoft Solution Provider, we stay current with the latest in Microsoft's enhancements and technological enhancements. This keeps our clients on the cutting edge with the most advanced software available. In 1999, MDI announced MDIConnect, the first ASP (Application Service Provider) devoted solely to the Long-Term Care industry. With MDIConnect, our clients use the Internet, anytime from anywhere, to access their data, which is professionally managed and safely stored off-site. In 2005, MDI was acquired by Logibec Groupe Informatique (LGI), based in Montreal, Canada. Logibec specializes in software solutions for the healthcare market in Canada. With the acquisition, MDI became LGI's base for expansion in the US long term care market. Less than a year later, MDI acquired Monette Information Systems, developer of ULTRACare software for long term care. This acquisition strengthened MDI's presence and sales effort in the Southeastern US and broadened the product suite that can be offered to the long term care market. In 2007, MDI continued to expand it's already broad product line by acquiring RNet, a comprehensive therapy management module, and REPS Software, the premiere CRM/Lead Management software in the senior living and care market. Today, MDI has an extensive nationwide client base, including nursing homes, retirement communities and assisted living facilities of all sizes. MDI is the innovator in the Long-Term Care industry. We will continue to lead the industry by introducing new products and new versions of our software as technology continues to evolve. |
