Save Time with XML Export
QuickCare provides
a way to send census and demographic information to third party
vendors on a regular basis without having to take the time to create
reports based on QC Census and Resident Lists. The XML Export feature
is available to all QuickCare clients and, once activated, will
send an initial report and updates each time changes are made to
these areas of QuickCare. Your pharmacy, dietary software or other
third party vendors can either use the file you send them or schedule
with your IT department to automatically retrieve these files.
The setup area is located under System Maintenance > Facility
Maintenance > Facility Preferences - Clinical on the Import/Export
Setting Tab.
Please contact QuickCare support if you need help setting up this
area.

ANSI
Override Coming Soon
Recently,
intermediary IDs have been changing faster than ever before, largely
due to the MAC contracts being awarded. In response to this, the
QuickCare development team is working on product enhancements to
allow users to set up intermediary specific ANSI 837I header values.
To make this possible, there will be a new tab in the Payor Setup
called ANSI 837I Setup, which is currently available for the Generic
837I Claim File Creation intermediary. On this tab, users will be
able to specify exactly what should be entered in each header loop
and segment, as well as an 835 Sender ID which is used for the automatic
posting of RAs. Users will also be able to specify the file name
to which the Electronic Batch File will be saved. Each 837I location
will display the default value, and if needed, the user can specify
an override to use. This functionality will be available in V3.5
with the Medicare intermediaries, in order to accommodate changes
to the intermediaries Receiver IDs and Sender IDs that
occur with each new MAC. The
V3.5 version is scheduled for release in mid- to late June 2008.
For any suggestions or questions about this functionality please
email us billing@quickcare.com
or support@quickcare.com.
